Thr top of the radiator gets hot so I am assuming the t-stat is opening correctly. When it starts to over heat you can still touch the bottom radiator hose, its not that hot.I use SAE 30 above 32 degrees. Transmission has 17 quarts of SAE 80 EP. it is a square plug on the left side of the transmission just in front of the clutch pedal. There are 2 plugs on my WD and would assume on a 45 also. One is for the transmission,differential and one for the clutch. Both compartments use the same oil.
