Dexcom support told me to stop sensor on app and receiver, then simply hit restart. It worked, and I didn't have to take out the transmitter. From what I've seen on YouTube, Dexcom thinks we're trying to game the system by finding restart hacks. The Dexcom rep told me in no uncertain terms to NOT take out the transmitter.
